As mentioned before, HDPE is a very versatile polymer, with products and applications ranging from plastic bottles to commercial piping. HDPE has an opaque finish but can be died to a multitude of colours as can be seen in figure 2-1, which showcases a variety of corrugated HDPE pipes.

HDPE can commonly be seen used as caps for clear drinking bottles (figure 2-2) or opaque bottles and containers used for dangerous chemicals and waste (figure 2-3).
